"My Automatic mark making techniques combine with observation to explore subconscious states; relationships to our body, sensation, pain and self image. Mono-printing, oil bars, graphite, stencils, acrylic sprays, gels and layering add to the visual language and expression. From this I may get slightly closer to expressing the feeling of stroking my dog , a tooth ache to something as profound as interacting with a relative with dementia or personal trauma."
